This word (
action) called
LOVE that I have been talking about for a while - is starting to come together even better in my mind. I have been sharing with others (which means that I am talking to myself) about
LOVE and that in the end - it really is all that matters. It has been enjoyable - at times stretching - but most of all it carries with it a sense of peace in this crazy world that we live in.
I have thought of scriptures - I have shared scriptures - I have shared blogs that are about
LOVE but for some reason
today I thought of I Corinthians 13. We have all read it a 1000 times - I probably have it memorized from the KJV - but this time I went to The Message version - these are the highlights....
...So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I'm
bankrupt without love.
Love never gives up.
Love cares more for others
than for self.
Love doesn't want what it
doesn't have.
Love doesn't strut,
Doesn't have a swelled head,
Doesn't force itself on
others,
Isn't always "me
first,"
Doesn't fly off the handle,
Doesn't keep score of the sins
of others,
Doesn't revel when others
grovel,
Takes pleasure in the
flowering of truth,
Puts up with anything,
Trusts God always,
Always looks for the best,
Never looks back,
But keeps going to the end.
….We know only a portion of the truth, and what we say about
God is always incomplete. But when the Complete arrives, our incompletes will
be canceled…….
But for right now, until that completeness, we have three
things to do to lead us toward that consummation: Trust steadily in God, hope
unswervingly, love extravagantly. And the best of the three is love.
Those are some powerful words and this version makes it so easy to understand - there's nothing but understanding and perhaps the best part is the ending...
Trust
steadily in God
Hope
unswervingly
Love
extravagantly
I told my CoffeeRoomGirls (CRG) that I loved stationery and such - I have a box full of all kinds of things....
Then there are my cookbooks (I have never counted I wonder how many I have - but these are just some of my favorites)
The pail that belonged to Kerry's grandparents holds my Keurig coffee cups.
And this plant was a gift from my parents when I graduated with a Doctorate in Educational Leadership last month.
There are many things in my life that I
LOVE...
But most of all many people in my life whom I
LOVE have
shown love -
given love -
been love -
are love -
live love - and these also:
Trust steadily in God - Steadily = direct & unfaltering pace
Hope unswervingly - Unswervingly = not veering, constant
Love extravagantly - Extravagantly = abundantly
There are many in my life that I
LOVE (only a few are here...)

Our

Always,
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. 2 Corinthians 13:14.
